Promo Animation
This is a promo animation I created to present my skills in various character design and animation techniques. As the animation evolves through time, with each verse we see the variety of styles.
I wrote the lyrics to describe my skills, as well as bringing the hip-hop vibe I was after.
My good friend Todor Rusinov recorded the voice track for me.

The first Monkey is created using ToonBoom classical animation software. And it is made mostly with frame by frame animation, using pose to pose. The style is unique, influenced by old school characters from the 80's and 90's.
The second Monkey is vector drawn in Illustrator and it is animated with After Effects. It is stylised to be more minimalistic and unified with smooth movements.
The third monkey is created in Photoshop and it is more detailed representing a personal style of mine influenced by anime characters, with rough edges and rough animation.
The fourth monkey is created in 3D from cubes and animated with a custom parameter to switch between the poses. The style is an old school game inspired pixelated art. Explosion simulation at the end shows that it is 3D and makes the transition.
The fifth monkey is made entirely in 3D. First sculpted then brought in Maya for geometry adjustments, rigging and animation. Textured in 3D space, face animation using mostly blendshapes and animation from a lot of references. The style is original.
